You can select a few different colors and scenes directly on the unit with the bottom on the back. If you want full control of the Hue Go you will need to connect it to a Hue Bridge on your home network and use the Hue app.

You plug the bridge into your internet router and you are good to go. Total set up takes less than 20 minutes. Make sure to download the app on either the Playstore on Android or App Store on iOS.

It allows you to manually change colors or there is a setting that will automatically change colors in a cycle. It plugs into the wall and can be recharged and used without a cord - if desired.
