If you can operate the fan with the remote and can leave the wall switch in the on position than the Hue bulb should work without the need for the Hue switch. The Hue switch is only necessary if you need to be able to remotely control the wall switch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Negative. This can only control compatible Phillips Hue components. It communicates over the zigbee protocol and isn't a traditional "circuit interpreter" like a switch; therefore, it will not control any aspect of your ceiling fan.
