Yes you will need one hue bridge to be able to use echo.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you do need philips hue bridge with this. Without it it will be expensive light bulb. You can just purchase the starter kit which has a bridge as well as two individual regular lights that's for $69. That way you can control 3 different lights with the 1 philips Bridge. It's a much better option that just buying the bridge alone for $59 . The bridge allows the lights to be controlled with Alexa or Google home. It also allows for your lights to be controlled via Wi-Fi if you're not home.
