Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.About half of the trimmed hairs fall below the unit; about half get trapped in the cutting area of the unit. I just clean the unit after use by disassembling the top portion (by rotating it and pulling it out - which is by the way very easy to do). I then rinse this separatable cutting unit or just shake any hairs off of it.
