• This product is not compatible with Windows XP. Otherwise, it comes complete with everything needed to convert video in order to burn to DVD.

• Yes, just remember to load the drivers from the included CD before plugging the adapter into your PC's USB port. To burn DVD, you should have DVD burner in your computer, or purchase an external one if do don't have one already. I have an excellent Blu-Ray external burner from Pioneer which burns anything (Cd, DVD and BD disks).
