Yes...you can wire this up to do that. For a back up camera to come on automatically you must wire the power wire for the camera to your reverse light. When you place the transmission in reverse..that reverse light comes on and signals your stereo to automatically view the back up camera. For a forward facing camera or any other type you can wire the power wire to a ignition power source. That would be any wire that becomes on when you turn the ignition switch on. At that time the camera will come on and stay on the entire time the ignition switch is on. Your stereo will recieve a signal that a camera is on and available to view. You can using the faceplate select to view that camera any time you wish.
