I have been thinking about getting this head unit and yes it is " Capacitive " just click on the specs and it says it right there!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The pioneer avh-w4400nex has a resistive screen. If you want a capacitive screen check out the higher end model avh-w8400nex, be aware though this higher end model tends to go on average 500 dollars more expensive, but also comes with integrated gps in which the 4400 model does not. But you can always use the gps of the connected phone on either models.
