A:Answer It won’t rattle house windows in the neighborhood but it will fill out your sound. I have a kenwood just like it in my Tundra under the seat and it sounds great. This pioneer is more powerful than my kenwood so it should sound even better. I bought this pioneer to be installed in my ‘70 mustang later. Getting an answer about a subwoofer is tough because it’s subjective to personal taste. For me it’s perfect, to someone who wants to rattle the entire neighborhood, no. It’s more like the satellite speaker style home theater systems like Bose. It’s 160w max, 7-7/8 x 11 x 2-3/4. Basically a 2-3/4 inch thick notebook paper. If it fits under your seat you’ll benefit but in the rear hatch you certainly hear it fine. Comes with a wired remote for level, mode, frequently and phase. Also it has long connection wires for connections and remote so it will reach to your hatch, it come with mounting brackets that mount to the corners in either of two directions. I think it will sound great in a Mini Cooper. It may not “thump” but it will not diminish your sound in any way. I got mine on sale for $143. If you find it on sale, you’ll definitely be happy with it. At full price, there are others brands as well.
