I use mine with a MacBook Pro. Be aware you need two available USB ports, as there is no external power supply. If found it useful for ripping CD3 and shaped CDs since this unit has a spindle and is not a slot load like most other USB writers these days.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Plug and Play. You will need software to play Blu-Ray discs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, of course it is.... use MakeMKV FREE software to make a copy, then play the new MKV file (gonna be huge) with VLC player. then Enjoy! You do NOT need 2 USB ports as some people suggest. I use another cable with 1 USB end on a 12" MacBook and it works flawlessly

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does... It was a little tricky at first, but with patience it will connect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it should. It works fine with my iMac
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had any problems with it working with my Mac-Mini so it should work with a MacBook. I should mention that I have not used this to burn cd's or dvd's so I can not attest to that function on Mac OS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and no. I was able to read from it with my mac, but could not download the drivers to a mac. It requires Windows for any of the other features.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As a Data drive on a MacBook Pro running 10.12.2 it works right out of the box attached to a single USB 3 port. It did not require additional power from a brick or second USB port. That included burning several 25GB disks. It reads the content of a commercial Bluray as data (folders and files) but you need a movie app to play them and the first free one I tried worked without issue. I've only just started to look into apps for this purpose so your guess and luck should be as good as mine. Only surprising thing was the realization that it takes a long time to burn 24 GB to a 25 GB media... Seems obvious, but there you have it. If it keeps working for a couple years or more I will be well pleased.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
