“In purchasing this unit for a 2018 RAV4, could the factory USB in the center console be reused and connected to the Pioneer unit ? I was told this is not possible.”

• In most cases, it is not recommended to use the factory USB ports. They can cause communication issues between the smart phone and the stereo.
