I have not noticed loud noises or explosions drowning out talking. I don't believe there is a specific setting designated as "normalize" .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In the settings on the receiver you can control the volume of each channel as well. So you can turn up the center channel that hands the bulk of your dialogue. And then slightly turn down the other speakers. That way even if voices drop and the other sounds get louder it will naturally play the voices at the louder volume and the rest at a quieter one.
