No, it does 7.2 in Dolby TrueHD / DTS: MA mode, or 5.2.2 in Dolby Atmos / DTS: X mode. In other words, it supports 7 speakers and 2 subwoofers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately not. The VSX 1131 is sort of a "pseudo" 9-channel system. From what I can tell, the VSX 1131 has more inputs and more power, but also requires an external amp to drive those two extra speakers. The VSX LX102 is purely a 7.2 system with support for a 5.2.2 Atmos setup, but no output for separate back surrounds and height channels. So, with the VSX LX102 you'd have to choose between 7.2 and 5.2.2
