at 8 ohms you will only get 80 watts, at 6ohms you will get up to 170Watts. As the ohms increases the watts decreases. if you look at the power specs at the pioneer site it will tell you this info. https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Home/AV-Receivers/Elite+Receivers/VSX-LX102#specs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Bi-amp your front speakers, which will double the amps to the fronts. Read the manual on how to bi-amp. You'll need front speakers with 4 speaker wire jacks instead of 2, which are on there for bi-amping. Bi-amping takes a spare channel, such as the rear surround and adds the channel to the fronts. This method separates the tweeters from the mid/woofer drivers, and for me, it sounds a lot better. You'll still have 5.2, with two fronts, 2 surround speakers, a center channel and 2 sub-woofer jacks.
