Perhaps something blew the fuse or is preventing the unit from turning on. Bad wiring, a bad speaker, or a loose strand of wire touching metal. Or of course, maybe the receiver is faulty. Sometimes when I fire up a CD, if I scroll through the songs quickly and the volume is more than zero, the receiver may turn off. It simply does not like to have the sound cutting on and off quickly like that. Maybe one of your add-ons such as a DVD player or turntable is causing the Pioneer to reject everything.
