“Someone told me when adjusting settings for the receiver that there is no display on the TV only on the receiver. That would be a deal-breaker for me. Is this true? Also, do I need an amp to run the atmos speakers? Currently have 7.2.”

All adjustments can be seen on the TV screen and also on your phone. The receiver has built in amplification for two sets of Atmos speakers. I am running it with 4(2 pairs) atmos speakers now.
