QuestionSomeone told me when adjusting settings for the receiver that there is no display on the TV only on the receiver. That would be a deal-breaker for me. Is this true? Also, do I need an amp to run the atmos speakers? Currently have 7.2.

- Answer All adjustments can be seen on the TV screen and also on your phone. The receiver has built in amplification for two sets of Atmos speakers. I am running it with 4(2 pairs) atmos speakers now.

- Answer Yes, it does that. Both the component and composite inputs are assignable to whichever HDMI output you select.

- Answer I could not get EARC to work at all and the confusing instructions did not help, I also have an Onkyo same problems I have never got Earc to ever work right... garbage technology

- Answer Yes you can run all 3 Zones at same time and even different sources in each zone, but Zone 3 has some source limits.

QuestionTwo questions, actually. 1) can I 'bi-amp' my front speakers like I can on my old Pioneer vsx model (not Elite)? And 2) Can I use my subwoofer when playing music? You'd be surprised how many receivers don't (my old Pioneer included).

QuestionCan you stream the output of the receiver via BT to wireless headphones? Seems fairly straightforward. According to BB expert-Receiver can stream iPad music via BT to the receiver yet, receiver cannot stream via BT to wireless headphones. Is this correct?

QuestionWill this receiver work with an older Samsung TV that does not have ARCH or eARCH?

- Answer Yes, you can. However, you cannot use apps built into your TV and hear that through your receiver. You'd plug your cable box / Blu-Ray Player / Fire Stick / Chromecast / Apple TV etc., into the receiver and would switch sources that way. You'd run an HDMI out from the "OUT/ARC" port to the TV's HDMI 1 in. As for your older TV, I recommend the Sony Full Array models to replace your outdated Samsung. Great value, great picture.

- Answer I just bought this unit about a month ago and have 7.2 set up thats two atmos rear speakers, and surround speakers, and yes they all work. I bought it for 9 the nine channels tho. Surround back (no) surround ( yes ) all depends on how you wire it. but only drives 7 channels. You need a seperate amp or powered speakers to achieve 9.2 surround. I plan to buy a set of powered speakers to have 9.2 channel. I have mine hooked up as front lft and rht, center, surround, Top hgt lft and rht witch i have at the back of my space and all channels work.
