• Yes, you can include the echo input as part of a speaker group (for playing multi-room sound for example)

• Nope. This is an Amazon choice though, not a fault of the speaker. Amazon could choose to allow any device into the *ahem* Echosystem..... sorry... but they very specifically do not do this.
