A:AnswerMatt,
I would make sure that you need a double din receiver/head unit. I just put this into a 2000 Toyota Avalon and it fits perfectly. I also bought a dash kit that had the factory plug connectors which is a must. I don't recommend trying to splice wires together and for under $10 bucks it is a time and life-saver. If you go to a site like Crutchfield or even the Pioneer website they have a car guide that should tell you if this unit will fit or not.
A:AnswerRodd,
You can input your vehicle specs at the Crutchfield site and they will tell you if this unit will fit in your car.

A:AnswerIt comes with the harness for the unit. You would need buy a factory harness to connect to the new stereo. Something like this is what you would need.

A:AnswerExcellent question.
Problem is, it's not specified in the user/installation manual, curiously enough; there are ten (10) rear panel input/outputs on the diagram, but manual does not indicate size or type, but their function only (mic, antenna, fuse, sub-woofer etc.).
I can only assume that Pioneer assumes that car stereo installers across the American landscape are a bright and experienced lot and that such details are unimportant.
On a certain level, I have to agree as my unit was installed in less than an hour and works wonderfully.
I doubt this helps our friend Shaggy as it sounds like he is probably planning doing the installation himself.
All in all, a mixed bag, I'm sure we can all agree.
