Can I still grill on this without smoking? null

Yes (mostly). You can grill on this pellet grill without heavy smoking since it can run at higher temperatures (400-500°F) which is hot enough for grilling. At those temperatures, the pellets burn much cleaner, and you’ll get more heat and less smoke. There is also the direct sear to get direct flame grilling which has worked out great to sear steaks. Expect a little smoky flavor still because it's wood, but it won’t be like a smoked steak.
