does this work with a cellphone null

If you mean only the headset portion, unplugging the head set from the base and plugging it in to a cell phone, then no. The male end of the jack is too small. It does not fit my HTC 10 or Samsung 8. They have better options for headsets for cell phones out there, but most I've seen plug in your ear like an ear bud. This unit is specifically for land lines, and I use it on my landline and it works great. Great range, and long lasting battery.
