“If the model compatible with the ps4 will it still play in Dolby atmos, and if so how do I know. I noticed for Xbox and pc you need a code but can’t find any info on that for the ps4”

double check if there is a Dolby Atmos app on Playstation store. I use the xbox one version and I had to download it. Headset has great features even without the Dolby.

Not compatible for PS4, the plantronics 800HS are though, essentially the same headphones but the PS4 model doesnt support Atmos, https://www.bestbuy.com/site/plantronics-rig-800hs-wireless-stereo-headset-for-playstation-4-black/5923413.p?skuId=5923413
