Fingernails are key. Press DOWN on the left rail of the plastic clip near the volume buttons. Left UP on the bottom of the phone under the "silent" switch. While you push down on the left rail, you are lifting the phone. The top left portion of the phone will pop up and you can then ease up the left side of the phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The method that worked for me is to push a finger nail between the phone and the plastic clip under the "sound off" button. Holding the plastic clip firmly with my left thumb nail, begin lifting the part of the phone under the volume buttons. The left side of the phone pops out of the clip, and just left the phone out. The key is to always be pushing DOWN on the left rail of the clip while lifting UP on your phone.
