I'm not clear on what you're asking. If you've got a 1080p set, then games (and video) are of course limited to 1080p. Going forward, PS4 games are going to be enhanced when run on the Pro. It's up to developers how they want to take advantage of the extra power. Higher resolutions is one possibility, but not the only one. There could be smoother framerates, more physics, more graphical detail, etc., and of course all that WILL show up on a 1080p TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think you understand how that all works. It will upgrade 1080p framerate for video games, but it won't do anything extra for 1080p streaming or Blu-ray. That's all based on your internet speed and what services you own. You can stream 4K content through the original PS4, which is almost 4 times the resolution of 1080.

This won't change streaming video like from Amazon or Hulu or whatever at all. BUT for games the Pro will still be a big upgrade. You won't get higher resolutions*, but you will get better frame rates, more effects, more detail, etc. on a game by game basis. Games running on Pro will still look better on a 1080p set than they would on a "regular" PS4 (not that the regular model isn't great in and of itself!) *I said you wouldn't get higher resolutions, but that's actually not necessarily true...obviously you're limited to 1080p, but some games target lower than 1080p, and might thus be able to do 1080p on a Pro on a 1080p set, where they might be 1600 or lower on a regular PS4. Although it's pretty common for PS4 games up to this point to hit 1080p while the Xbox One version is somewhere lower.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1080p games will be enhances depending on the developers choice. Streaming quality depends on the streaming service, and if your TV is 1080p you can stream anything higher than that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.every game will have different options. for example, many games already announced for support, offer several modes. one of the modes is almost always 4k and hdr support, but quite a few are offering enhanced visuals and framerate at 1080p. so yes, depending on the game(and im willing ot bet most games will end up this way), 1080p will absolutely benefit.
