The PS4 Pro plays everything the original PS4 plays, disc or digital. The Pro gives you 4K and HDR support if your TV supports either or both. To play multiplayer you need a PS Plus membership and the Internet on both machines. As for only playing PS4 games... yes and no. You can't put any disc or download games from an older PlayStation into any PS4. But there are older games that have been reworked to play on it. There are several PS2 and PS3 games available for digital download on the PlayStation store that have been modified to work on the PS4. But that's the only way (on the store it has to say it works on the PS4). Putting in an older system disc is not possible, even with PS1 games (this is the first newer system that won't play them).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does only play PS4 discs, but a lot of the well known/liked games from the older consoles are available to download through the PlayStation store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you only have a regular 1080p HD t.v., then get the regular PS4. If your t.v. is 4K, then get the PS4 Pro, as it has 4K gaming and streaming capabilities. Other than the t.v. requirements, a second controller will be needed, as well as a good, wired directly to the console, internet connection. Most games are now going online.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you don't have a 4k tv and don't plan on getting one, don't get the Pro version. You will need to buy a second controller. Comes with the hdmi cable. No game is included so you will have to buy one. To plan online you need to pay for a Psn oline account 60 for the year.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.PS4 pro does not have a game drive to put games in. PS4 pro will play any PS4 game you have bought digitally. It will not play any games with discs. If you are buying a PS4 they do have a game drive and they do not play PS3 games.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
