Yes, the performance is far superior to the launch consoles.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That really depends on what your definition of worth it is and your budget is The games that are available in 4k have a definite Improvement in graphics. the PS4 Pro also loads a lot quicker than the PS4 did and I've noticed compared to my old PS4 that the fans in the pro are a lot quieter. I also like that it has physical buttons instead of the touch buttons or whatever they're called. But besides those items there's no difference between the PS4 and the pro they play all the same games get all the same entertainment through the PlayStation Store. So the real question is do you have the money to drop on a PlayStation 4 Pro for those improvements or are you better off sticking with your old PlayStation 4 and saving the money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. How big a difference you see will depend on the developers support on a game-by-game basis. But the ones that offer support look strikingly better. In particular, Horizon Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo Sport, Assassin's Creed Origins, and Star Wars Battlefront II. Most of those look almost an entire generation ahead when played in HDR. The good news is that most games being released will offer PS4 Pro support (you can look at the back of the game cases to see if they're supported). So to answer your question, there is a very big difference. More so with HDR than 4K upscaling.
