The included cable will enable you to experience 4K - HDMI is universal.

I just used the existing HDMI cable that came in the box. This is my understanding when it comes to the difference between 1080P and 4K video output: the differences only has to do with the actual equipment that is either out putting the content or receiving it. It has nothing to do with the cable that is being used to transmit the signal between the equipment. The same concept is seen when a 1 gig network using fiber channels is replaced with the 10 gig network that uses the same existing fiber channels. 

But what do I know, I’m only an electrical power engineer; not a telecommunication engineer.
