The difference primarily is that the Regular Playstation 5 has a disc drive and the Playstation 5 digital edition does not have one, which is why theres such a price difference between the two. If you were to get a Playstation 5 Slim Digital, you would be able to buy a disc drive from Playstation and add it in the future if you'd like to, but that is not a possibility with the original PS5 digital

For the regular it also takes disks (or cds whatever you call it) in addition to digital games. So the digital has no disk slot which makes it slimmer (and more aesthetically pleasing in my opinion). Please try again later.from what ive seen digital is only for downloadable games while the standard you are able to play download games but also still use the standard disc games. I think with that being said the digital would also have more storage available versus a standard console.

However all ps5 games can be easily purchased from the playstation store located on the ps5 so a disc drive is not necessary unless there is a certsin reason you need it to have one. There is a disc drive on mine and I have never used it.
