“Why is there no “return by date” or options when this item is purchased open box? I’d assume a new item might restrict returns, but this is a used item and Best Buy is trying to restrict legit returns!”

They should have disclosed this with you, but for most open box items it is a 15 day return policy for full refunds as long as you have everything with the item.
