• These items act like another hard drive. The only way it would overwrite data is if the file names are the same, and usually windows will inform you of that and ask if you want to overwrite.

• Any new files saved to this flash drive that have the exact same name as a previously saved file will overwrite the old file. However, it will prompt you before doing this.
