I'm not an expert, but I purchased this to upgrade my HP laptop, and it has worked wonderfully! I searched for your laptop and it appears to be compatible as well, but below are the 2 links that I would recommend you review before you make your own decision. (Again, I'm not an expert!). This is HP's website: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06655539 However, it does not list the maximum memory capacity for your device. I found that listed on Crucial's website: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-15-dy1043dx
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No that model has a maximum capacity of 16GB of ram via 2 8 GB modules yes this is the right form factor but the size 16GB is too large for your device to recognize if you got this in 2 8 GB stick and replaced both of what came with the notebook that would be the best possible upgrade for the device this was answered by HP on the product questions for that model laptop on best buys website
