Q: QuestionI recently just bought a Acer Aspire 5 (A514-54-5012) I was wondering if this ram will fit into this model of computer, it is upgradable for ram ddr4, but I’m not sure if this will work well with this model, thank you
Asked by Justin.
- A:Answer In your manual it should tell you the ram to purchase for your machine it may say something like DDR4-3000. On Acer's website you should be able to find a list of tested working RAM for your computer (these will be certified by Acer to work correctly), I would suggest you find that list and buy one of the sanctioned products for your computer. Memory is much easier to deal with today than it used to be and most likely any DDR4 laptop chip will work but if your machine has dual channel it may have some specifications that must be met or your RAM won't run full speed. If your machine has more than one memory slot you may also want to consider changing the pair of chips not just one. Acer most likely has a user's forum where you can ask for help as well.

Q: Questionwill this fit an Acer Aspire E-15 model E5-575-512F?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Worked fine in my 5 year old ASUS Laptop...going from 8 to 16 GB which I later found out was mostly unnecessary. I highly suggest auxiliary fan for laptops...especially when modifying. Sorry but I have no idea for your device.

Q: QuestionIt matches the OEM specs for my Dell Inspiron 5379. I'm curious if I would see significant performance improvements over the 8GB currently installed if I were to upgrade to 32GB by buying two of these.
Asked by topinabean.
- A:Answer 16GB: This is the sweet spot for desktop users. It’s ideal for professional work and more demanding games. 32GB and more: For enthusiasts and purpose-built workstations only. Serious gamers, engineers, professional A/V editors, and similar types need to start here and go higher if needed. Buying more RAM than you need doesn’t net you any performance benefit — it’s effectively wasted money.
