It could work, but there is a chance it will be unsupported in your Mac. Check with AASP (Geek squad can probably give you accurate info), or go to apple.com/support and check there. Unlike PCs Macs don't always work with third party hardware. Also keep in mind, If your Mac is still covered under an APP warranty, third party RAM will void the warranty.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will work in a 2013 macbook pro as this is what I have--take out both memory modules and insert the one 8 gb memory module--I may at a later date add another 8 gb chip in the other slot
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.2013 is the year that apple started soldering the RAM modules to the board. You want to look in the instructions manual that came with your macbook(the book or the help guide in your computer) to see if the upgrade is possible. If it is then see what the specified mhz is. If you go to apple in the left hand corner->about this mac->The "Memory" tab and look at the number in front of MHz . If not the only way to upgrade or fix memory errors is to buy a new mother board or a different MacBook with the amount of ram you need built in. I am being honest, there are complaints about this solder-in memory everywhere.
