• You could use this SSD to replace the existing optical drive to increase storage, but you will need to buy a chassis that will act as a cradle for the drive to keep it securely in place (SSDs are much smaller than an optical drive) and as an adapter to connect the SSD to the optical drive motherboard connection. • Not likely. The CD drive is usually fitted into a shaped case that fits into a slot designed to accept that particular shaped drive.
