• As long as it is the right size and has the same connectors it should work just fine.

• This is a SATA hard drive and even laptops whose main drive is M.2 have a SATA port for a backup. If there is no expandable storage for a main SATA dive or you want to upgrade to an SSD for faster boot,. you may have to clone your files and migrate them.
