Great Boot Drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a couple of these on a Deal of the Day for $19.99. Even if you have a slimline computer that has no room to add another hard drive, you can fit one of these somewhere in the case with either double-sided tape or a small piece of velcro and use it as a boot drive to speed up an older computer. In the package, it includes a link and serial number for Acronis True Image Data Migration Software.

Great for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drive and the 240GB model are definitely the best bang for your buck. Especially if they're on sale. Are they as good as the competition? Nah. They won't outperform or outlast an 860 Evo, or even a SanDisk Ultra. But they'll perform more than half as good, and they'll last more than half as long. So if you can get it for half the price and it fits your intended use, this is the one you want. I bought this and a 240GB last year (which are both still going strong) and just bought another of each when I caught a sale.

An Awesome Solid State Drive!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PNY CS900 120GB SSD is an amazing solid state! It has improved my startup speed from and HDD by over 3x!! It is also extremely quiet, so quiet that it doesn't sound like that laptop is on. Applications also startup way faster and is a great HDD replacement or an extra drive to speed up system speed with a great price! This SSD gets a 10/10.

Affordable SSD
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great affordable SSD. I like to use these give a little more life to older PCs. Windows 10 PCs especially need SSDs in them. Its amazing what a performance difference you'll see with SSDs like this one.

Q: QuestionCan this SSD be mounted in a desktop computer?
Asked by Sam.
- A:Answer Sam, Assuming your desktop has an available SATA port on the motherboard and an available SATA power cable connection that can reach the drive bay - yes. You may also need a drive caddy that adapts the 2 1/2 in. SSD drive to a 3 1/2 in. drive bay. There are several different types of these drive caddies around, and some work better than others. I have done this a few times for desktops when replacing a failed hard drive or just upgrading to SSD for performance. It is well worth the cost and effort!

Q: QuestionIs there a software utility included to copy my existing HDD to this? I have a Windows XP Dell system, dual processor 2 GB memory.
Asked by Michael.
- A:Answer Yes there is. However, there's a much better FREE alternative: ToDo Windows Backup Software by EaseUS software. Their website does say that it will run on any OS from Windows XP to Windows 10. I used it and it worked perfectly for cloning my boot drive to this SSD.

Q: Questiondoes it have a DRAM cache
Asked by Oldbanana.
- A:Answer From Maximum PC , 25 June 2019 Jeremy Laird says, "...Instead of inserting a DRAM cache between the controller and the NAND, the CS900 can only rely on 32MB of SRAM built into its Phison S11 controller chip. Speaking of DRAM-less SSD controllers, it’s worth noting that such implementations also raise question marks about drive longevity. A DRAM cache doesn’t just boost performance; it also dramatically reduces wear on the flash cells. To PNY’s credit, the CS900 is backed by a reassuring three-year warranty, which is all you can ask for at this price point. But even if PNY is fully co-operative in the event of a failure, you still have the possibility of significant downtime and data loss." ADATA SP550 is a TLC drive, with an SLC cache (2-8GB).

Asked by Dipu.
- A:Answer You need to activate the drive itself within windows inside Disk Management. It should show as a drive with no partition.
