Sam, Assuming your desktop has an available SATA port on the motherboard and an available SATA power cable connection that can reach the drive bay - yes. You may also need a drive caddy that adapts the 2 1/2 in. SSD drive to a 3 1/2 in. drive bay. There are several different types of these drive caddies around, and some work better than others. I have done this a few times for desktops when replacing a failed hard drive or just upgrading to SSD for performance. It is well worth the cost and effort!
