You need to activate the drive itself within windows inside Disk Management. It should show as a drive with no partition.

In order to solve this when open in device manger, just right click on the icon of the ssd drive and then click format in the selection there. After this just pick what you want such as ntfs or ex fat where a few seconds later the drive will work as the external drive you want it to be. Formatting it is the key.

If you're on a Windows computer you'll need to use the "Disk Management" utility. A quick google or youtube search should give you the steps needed to access the utility and go through the steps needed.

Please try again later.Your SSD is not yet Formatted, That's why the PC didn't recognized it, Go to Windows search bar down a the bottom left corner and type "disk management" you will get "create and format hard disk partitions" click on it to open the program. You will see your SSD not yet partition. Right click on it to choose format. Your PC should recognize it after formatted with assigned drive letter.
