• Hi Rick. The short answer is yes. As long as you have a sata connection in your laptop or desktop it will work. You can then install any operating system you wish. I have put these in laptops, MacBooks and desktops and installed Mac OS, windows 10 and cloud ready, a chrome OS. In the case of the desktop it required a mounting adapter to accommodate the smaller form factor. I hope this helps.
