It will work in an x16 slot. It won't lose any functionality, it just won't be using all 16 lanes the slot provides. So the card itself will perform at maximum ability, you could just put something bigger there if you wanted. But if you're just wanting dual monitor or something, it'll be great for that.

Please try again later.it is a low profile card and comes with both the longer bracket and the short low profile brackets and as far as I can tell does not loose any functionality, no dvd with drivers and setup are included, download those prior to swapping present for new cards.
