• All PCI-E cards are backwards compatible. Your card just won't run optimally because of the lack of a 2.0 port. It will run at x16 speeds.

• I ran this card on a older motherboard it ran great I had a old ns6is am2se motherboard with a older amd 4600+ 2.4 ghz and 4gb ddr2 ram it in some ways improved how things functioned a bit loved it as a temporary go to replacement for my gtx 480 which was also running on that mb

• Yes. All PCIe technology is backwards compatible. 3.0 cards will work in 1.0 or 2.0 slots, but higher end cards might not perform at the top specs they can output due to the limitations of the older 1.0 slots.

• PCIE 2.0 cards are all backwards compatible assuming that they are the same size (PCIE 1x, or 4/16x)
