To check the specs for compatibility, (if using Windows), Click Start, and in the search box type "dxdiag" and press Enter. On the System tab, take note of the System Manufacturer and System Model fields. Google " [Manufacturer] [Model] Manual" (or replace "Manual" with "Specs") and the specs will be featured in the Memory/RAM section of the manual. Take note of the total RAM allowed and divide by the number of slots on the board, that's the max amount you can have for each slot. (ex. 16GB total divided by 4 slots would be 4GB max per slot) The Manual will also tell you the max speeds and DDR type it can handle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is compatible with ddr2 memory modules. Check your motherboard manufacture or go to crucial.com and do a memory scan to see compatible ram modules
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What I do to tell if a memory card is compatible is to first remove the current memory card from the motherboard and look at the label. It should give the details on the compatible processor speeds and type (DDR, DDR2) that can be used.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All you have to do is run DxDiag and see if you have DDR2 or DDR3 ram and if you have DDR2 then you are just fine, its a bit older, DDR3 is the here and now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This memory is "NOT' compatible with just any desktop. The manufacture of the PC should list what specs your PC can utilize. Some models only can accept the 5300 DDR2 and so on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not all memory is compatible with all desktops. Make sure your memory is supposed to be ddr2. Make sure it has the proper number of pins, and match the speed (pc2-6400 is 800mhz). Going over the motherboards match is useless, you won't gain speed, and going under will just slow everything down. You can go onto your motherboard or computer manufacturer site and get a list of known memory to work with your hardware.
