It clearly states on the package on the 3rd line on the back "Backward compatible with USB 2.0 at standard PNY USB 2.0 speeds". If you are asking because you have not purchased it, the preview on the back will tell you so. Hit the + button.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you format it as NTFS, then it should work fine. I’m not sure if it is preformatted as NTFS or EXFAT, and EXFAT won’t work on windows XP. If that is the case, just use a newer computer to reformat it to NTFS, and it will be ready to work with XP.
