Try reformatting it and see if that doesn't take care of it. If you can save files to the flash drive and SEE the files on the drive, then I wouldn't worry about the light. That said, if you're unhappy with it, I believe you can just return it or trade at BB for a new one. All these flash drives unless otherwise marked are going to be formatted for Windows. But its easy to reformat to whatever you need...

Right click on the USB drive and choose format. You have a choice of reformatting to exFat or NTFS. CAREFUL, THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE USB. Be sure to save any data you want to keep to a different device before formatting.

If not lighting up, maybe try another USB port? All of mine have been formatted as FAT 32, this brand as well as several others.

Please try again later.My first one was formatted as exFAT32 and it had very faint red light when it read or write. my second one was formatted as FAT32 and no light ever came out. Both are dead after transfer the first file into them. Too bad. Try use the USB 2.0 ones. They are cheaper and get the job down.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Fat32 in Windows has a storage file limitation.fyi . Are you using Windows or Apple OS? ExFat is an extended format like fat32 . Google differences. If the drive works, that's not something to worry about. As for reformatting the drive for ExFAT, use your OS's drive management utility or a third-party utility to change the format.
