You must look up the specifications Of your MacBook. If you have the requirement M.2 Form factor in MacBook then it should work.

That's what I did for my Window laptop and they had a couple guys who used my exact model. Main thing you need to look for is the connection for the card. They show how to safely pull apart the PC and then look to see if the card from yours looks the same as the one that came out and that the connection you plug into is correct for your model and some OS system loading has to be done. I had to get a separate drive holder, external $7.00, with a USB C connect and use a clone software to transfer my Windows OS. and programs I wanted to get the whole Drive and OS. I found that the internal connector build into my PC was the correct one but also worked for the other model card as well since the card that cane out had the SSD M2 interface on the card but the connector it came out of was a M2 NVMe PCI so all was good. The one type connector is interchangeable but not in reverse. this video explains the difference in M2 SSD and M2 NVMe PCI and SATA and what to look for. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJCHx7mZEKo ) like I said check into adapters because the one video below shows an adapter that would totally work for any connection. Here is a reasonable example if you look at 2:44 you get your first look at the connection end of the SSD and this one will not work as far as I can tell you need the other style connector: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JG1pSj5LF5w . However the M2 NVMe connector will work for both styles and I was fortunate to have that type in my PC. This has to do with the little tine on the ends left or right and 5 or 6 pins one will not work because the split in the board is in the wrong place. These other two https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5osw0UBN2U each shows your PC and has additional information a little differently in each . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU6yatTvyyk and how to migrate your OS . Something I learned watching all three is that an adapter can be purchased which I was not aware. So you can use just about any SSD M2. I hope these help. Also if your still under warranty you may consider taking it in. A little disclaimer as I am by no means an expert or qualified I just use common sense and research Hope this helped?
