• No it doesn’t. Operates independently of other system remotes. Perhaps a negative aspect BUT great sound for the price.

• It does not. But I also bought a Logitech Harmony remote and it can be programmed to control everything. It programs itself when you hook it up to your computer and it controls the cable box, TV, and the sound bar. Well worth the $50 to eliminate the other 3 remotes.

• Sorry everyone that answered no, but you are incorrect. I synced both my TV's remote and my cable remote; both work without issue. Do a Google search and you'll find the steps to do it.
