• I have no idea but ours doesn’t work at all and never has worked. We are taking ours back because it has not worked since day one. The whole system is not that great.

• You could do that, or program the TV remote or the cable remote. I did both with mine, but don't remember how I did it. If you do a google search you can find this info.
