• A:Answer Hello, the Polk Audio XT12 subwoofer has two types of inputs. LFE/Line level input and Speaker Level input. It is best to place the subwoofer on the Floor. Floor placement is highly recommended resulting in maximum performance.

Q: QuestionAfter connecting the sub, sounds great. playing a local FM channel on the tuner, when I change inputs i.e. Roku, the sub is still playing the music from the FM channel. whats up with that?

• A:Answer Hello Sam, This is an odd situation. The subwoofer will only play what it is being sent from the amp or receiver. I would recommend that you contact the manufacturer of your AVR and see what might be happening when it switches inputs but the subwoofer is stuck on the previous one.

Q: QuestionIs it possible to run this woofer in a dual setup: I have an AV receiver plugged into the L/LFE on the woofer but I also have a 2-channel amp with both HT bypass and appropriate RCA pre-outs. However, I don’t see how I can connect both to the woofer.

• A:Answer Hello, You could potentially have a single LFE cable going from your AV and Amp into a one of the RCA inputs on the subwoofer to have both feeding a signal to the subwoofer at different times. Just be mindful to not operate both the amp and AVR at the same time as this might cause damage to the subwoofer.

• A:Answer It's not clear what "pbcq0722n3407" is. If it's a sound bar or a TV, then it will need to have a "sub out" output. If that output can go to an RCA connection, then yes the sub should be able to play sounds from it. But remember, it is only a sub... it won't play all the sounds.

• A:Answer You should pick only one. The sub is self-amplified, so the connection you put into it should be line-level (unamplified) not speaker-level (amplified). Some amps know about this and provide a line-level "sub out", but you should check to be sure. If you use the RCA inputs, that will be straightforward. If you use the speaker wires, you can connect either line-level inputs or speaker-level inputs to the "input" side. I don't know why the label it "speaker level" because what comes out is NOT amplified. The sub will "strip" the subwoofer frequencies off of that signal and pass the rest of the signal on to the speakers. If the input is amplified, then the output will be speaker-level. If it's not amplified, then the output going to the speakers will still be line-level (you could connect it to an amp or to powered speakers).

• A:Answer Hello. Yes - it is possible to connect the Monitor XT12 to your receiver using a single male to male RCA cable. For the best results, we recommend a dedicated subwoofer cable with the addition of an RCA Y-connector - which are available either in store or online with Best Buy.
