Hi Magnum. In the case of speaker wattage ratings, 25 watts is the recommended minimum amplifier power rating. If you have an amplifier/receiver with at least 25 watts on tap, the Monitor XT60 speakers will be happy. Amplifiers provide the power, speakers handle the power. The more the volume dial is raised, the more power is delivered to the speaker to make it go louder.
