- Answer Hi Mackj, The amount of current the XT70s receive is going to vary depending on source content and desired volume setting. The XT70s are designed to be used with amplifiers/receivers capable of producing a maximum of anywhere between 30 and 200 watts per channel, and they can be driven by amplifiers/receivers which support 4, 6 or 8 ohm loads.

QuestionI noticed they say there is an AC cable. I thought these were passive speakers and only need the wires from the AMP to the two speaker connections. I'm also interested in a center channel and two bookshelf speakers and they all have the same information.

- Answer It's probably an error on the website, as you said these speakers are passive and only need the wires that connect the speaker to the amplifier. In the case that you want to buy a sub you will need an RCA wire.
