No, you cannot do that because the way the Windows app works is that it changes your speaker output to be the DTS PlayFi. So nothing will come out of your hardwired speakers while you are using the Play Fi app. When you close the Play Fi app it informs you that you are switching back to your speakers as the sound. Make sense?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. 100% sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can. From your PC, you can play any audio possible once you download the Play-Fi app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you can do this with a windows computer but NOT a mac. I recommend you calling Polk. This is a question for their Play-Fi system
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It won't connect to a Mac but will connect to your iPad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've tried, but it looks like the Play-Fi speakers cannot be used along with your PC speakers when trying to play from the same source. With Airplay you can do that, but not with these. In my talks with Polk customer service, which is excellent by the way, they told me that the software will be updated periodically so maybe this will work eventually. They do sell (very pricey) an adapter add on to hook up to your PC speakers to make them a Play-Fi device. I think that's the only way to get that to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I played pandora from my iPad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I use it for that. You play your iTunes playlists out of the Polk Audio app, and it works just fine. They seem to have integrated it to pull the playlists and content right out of ITunes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes you can play music thru your Computer on these speakers. There is an app for PC/Mac. I do not know if it will play thru the wireless speaker and hard wired speakers at the same time because when you open the app it becomes the primary output. There's an app upgrade that allows you to choose which applications play thru the wireless speaker rather than simply having all sounds from your computer come thru.
